An Open letter from the Touchdown Club

Parents and Players
Hello,
Welcome to an exciting time for Paulding County Patriot football. The 2011 season will be upon us before we realize it so we must get to work now, in order to be prepared to meet the needs of our team. We as the Touchdown Club raise funds to help cover the cost of running this program.
The Touchdown Club is an organization designed for the purpose of meeting the needs of our team in hopes of making these four years, the best years of their lives. Each parent is automatically becomes a member of the Club when their son signs up to play for the team. The Club is made up of parents and friends of the program. There is a five member board that is elected by the Club. The board does not run the Club nor control the Club. The board is merely a group of individuals who have stepped forward and agreed to work tirelessly for the team and to be available 24 hours a day to meet the needs of the team, parents, and coaches. Every member of the board is approachable and open to any questions or concerns that you as a player or parent may have. The funds we raise are 100 percent transparent and our records are available to anyone who asks to see them. Every dollar is accounted for.
The funds we raise go to pay for equipment, travel expenses, camps and food. We also use the funds to pay for video editing equipment that will allow our coaches to put together film on the players to send to colleges. This is done in hopes of securing scholarships for as many players as possible. It pays for the sideline communication devices used by coaches during the games, along with many other expenses. As you can see it takes a lot too not only run a program but to make it a success as well. That is our job as the parents and friends of the players.
We raise that money through fundraisers such as the Boston Butt sale. We also have other fundraisers that we ask our players and parents to participate in. The biggest are the selling of ads for our program, our season ticket package and spirit packs. Enclosed in this packet is a brief description of each of those along with information for our Seniors about Senior Salutes and Senior Signs.
