                                              College Recruitment

We have had a great deal of interest in our players from colleges. We have had representatives from  GA Tech, Presbyterian, Savannah State, Shorter and Eastern Kentucky and several others that Coach Miller has met with about our prospects.

                                              Sponsor-A-Thon

We will be sending home Sponsor-A-Thon forms with the players this week. We are asking that each boy attempt to raise $150. The first $125 can be credited toward their spirit pack. The player who receives the most donation dollars on their behalf will receive a Visa giftcard.  There will also be a letter from the Touchdown Club attached to the forms explaining the Sponsor-A-Thon as well as  some other fundraisers we have going on. It is important to remember that fund raising is an important part of our program and without it the program cannot succeed.
You can download additional copies of the Sponsor-A-Thon as well as copies of the spirit pack order forms under the forms tab.

                                              Paulding County Patriot  History
Paulding County High School opened in the winter of 1969. They began playing football the next fall. The Patriots went 0-10 during their inaugural season. The school's first win came in season three under Coach Donald Payne when they defeated Villa Rica 13-12. Their first .500 season was in 1975 under Coach French Johnson.

The Patriots achieved their first winning season in 1980 under Coach Ken Phillips, the same coach for whom our Field House is named.  The Patriots continued to have success through out the 1980's and 90's  reaching it's peak in 2001 under Coach Lynn Rowe.  The team had an over all record of 12-2  culminating in an appearance in the Georgia Dome. That team won the only region championship in team history.

The team continued to have success into the mid 2000's but the opening of new High Schools in the county took its toll on the program. In 2010 Coach Brent Miller was named Head Coach in hopes of restoring Paulding County to its former glory.

                                              To be continued.....
